The holidays are here and I’ve put together a Christmas gift guide for travellers -a list of the top gifts for travellers this season.

I have been blogging since 2014 but travelling abroad since 1994 (my first trip abroad was to France). I’ve tried and tested several travel products in that time and wanted to put together a list of useful accessories. Needless to say I know good travel gear.

Carry on luggage

When I was in the States this summer I picked up some new carry on luggage.  Its been years since I bought any new gear and I thought it was about time.  I’m not sure how my transition from backpack to roller bag will go but I really liked using it in the UK in August.

Life Straw water bottle

This is something I’m going to be purchasing soon for a new trip I haven’t told you about yet.  I’m a couple weeks off from announcing it but this water bottle will be great and I always like to travel with a water bottle because I don’t like to buy plastic bottles when I travel.  Dear Santa, this is the perfect Christmas gift guide for travellers.  Please send one my way!

Kindle

How much has this little device changed the way I travel, a lot to say the least.  Great for long term travel and so lightweight.

Travel mask and pillow set

Comfort is definitely key for long journeys.  I always carry ear plugs and this time I’m adding an eye mask and pillow as well.

ScotteVest

I can’t wait to give this a go.  I’ve been looking for something I can wear and stash all my stuff in my pockets.

Umbrella for travellers

No, you don’t need to take an umbrella but I find it really useful for both rain and shine!  I actually use an umbrella more when I am travelling in a hot country because it blocks the sun and keeps me cooler.

Power cord

The ultimate in charging everything!  Not all power cords are created equal.  I love the fact that it has USB ports as well.

My new mirrorless camera

Ok, its not new as I did get it last year but I absolutely love it and highly recommend it to anyone who is looking to take great photos.

And that concludes my Christmas gift guide for travellers.  I hope you enjoyed it!
